Meet the builder

Hi! I’m Martin, an AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO) based in the 050 region of the Netherlands. Like many, I rediscovered my love for LEGO during the Covid lockdowns—sparked by a wave of creativity, nostalgia, and some inspiration from LEGO Masters. After a long “dark age” away from the bricks, I’ve fully embraced the hobby again.

Building with LEGO lets me combine imagination, design, and a passion for storytelling. Outside of the LEGO world, I’m a big fan of football and cycling—whether it’s watching a match or enjoying a ride through the Dutch countryside.

LEGO has become more than just a hobby—it’s a way to relax, express ideas, and connect with a worldwide community. Welcome to my brick-built journey!

Explore Brickhof City

I’m building a Lego city in my attic, based on a detailed digital layout I created in Affinity Designer. The city is built on IKEA tables measuring 200 by 180 cm, allowing space for 56 baseplates, and everything is constructed using the MILS system for modularity and structure.

At its heart stands my custom MOC Town Hall and a lively town square, surrounded by roads and buildings that bring the city to life. A train line with a tunnel is under construction, and the official Lego City Train Station (set 60335) serves as the city’s main transport hub. Brick by brick, my city is growing into a vibrant, carefully planned world—built with creativity, precision, and passion.
